Well on first look, the title by JoinGames boasts some lovely manga-style drawing to entice us into this cyber world. Let’s move on into the game and see what awaits us.
Oh yes, it’s good. Shit, it looks really good. We have an interstellar background with two distant planets, one either firing or being fired upon. To the left of the grid, we have our 3D animated Cyber Ninja, moving and bopping his head, stunningly designed and programmed. The slot grid itself is futuristic and bulky. The colour scheme is cool, with frosty blues, light mechanical greys and snow white. Out here space is cold, but the game itself looks hot as. It oozes what JoinGames offer and are all about.
Looking at the basics of the games play offerings, Cyber Ninja provides an optional 20 win line that can be adjusted by selecting the levels 1 through to 5. The 5 reel, 3-row slot comes with a minimal coin bet of 0.01 to 1.00 and real money 0.20 to 20.00. The animation is very much what we expect of JoinGames, extremely detailed and beautifully crafted, you’ll notice the electrodes either side of the grid as power flows around it, making them flare up during the spins. The programming runs on all devices thanks to the HTML5 software, so you won’t lose any of the games gloss when playing this on a Mac or a mobile phone. The game’s return to player percentage is 96.06%.
The Symbols are a mix of sharp, futuristic lettering and a few intergalactic ‘things’. We have what looks like two evil aliens that carry the high win lines of up to 750 time the betting stake; a cyber helmet and some form of a space capsule. The wild symbol is the form of a spaceship. The Symbols have within them their own animation. Again superbly done and unsurprising as they (JoinGames) seem to be absolute masters of these little touches of brilliance.
Bonuses and Rewards
The features of the game, of which there are only a few, the most noticeable ones to start with are the wild symbols, wild symbols substitute all symbols except the scatter icon. The wild can also randomly expand across the whole of reel 2 should you be lucky to land it and view its internal animation.
Free spins are on offer as the main ‘bonus’ option, with this being the planet symbol. Rewards vary depending on how many you land, 3 planets gets you 10 free spins, 4 planets and you get 15 spins and lastly, 5 planet free spin symbols, gets you 20 free spins, all come with a multiple of 3 times the value of the stake you placed prior to landing the trigger.
Unfortunately, the game has only this one ‘bonus’ round and no bigger features, which is such a shame because the 3D animation of the Cyber Ninja doesn’t do much throughout the game except when jumping into a capsule to play out the free spins bonus round. It was very promising to start with but just needed that little push over the edge, that could have made this a very strong game contender, but in the end, it was a very fun game never the less and JoinGames touches of genius make it worth a go anyway.
