How does a Paysafecard card work?
Paysafecard works in the same way that prepaid credit works for a mobile phone or international telephone card. You buy a physical card with cash and on the reverse there is a scratchable surface, under which is a 16 digit pin code. You then use this pin code to pay via the merchant’s online payment system for the value of the card.
It's possible to make larger payments by combining up to 10 Paysafecard pins in one single transaction, so the most you can make in a single transaction is €1000. The value represented by the card can be converted into one the 21 other available currencies but there will be a foreign exchange fee applicable, often called a conversion fee these days.
For Paysafe users that live in France, the U.K and even Germany, there is also the option to use a physical MasterCard version. This works the same as normal Mastercard’s in that you charge the card with a certain amount and then are able to use the funds on the card to pay for goods and services either in a physical shop or online. This represents a second way of depositing at an online casino with the same product should you not be able to get to a physical point of sale.
